Bocci's 28 series pendants, designed in 2005, are made using a complex glass blowing technique in which air pressure is intermittently introduced into and then removed from a glass matrix. The result is a distorted spherical shape with a composed collection of inner shapes, one of which is made of opaque milk glass and houses a low voltage (12V, 20Watt xenon) lamp.

The series 28.1 pendant may be used alone or clustered to create a striking lighting array, in a manner similar to Bocci's 14 series lights.
